A few years ago I spoke at Ohio University about my work there, in the ‘70s, leading to an early and sweeping affirmative action program to address the inequality faced by women. I spoke of the “Sugar Grain Principle” that inspired my approach to change, way back then, and has since become a fundamental tenet in my approach to executive and leadership development.
