Winston interviewed dozens of CEOs and other senior executives, asking them about the time management and organization processes that helped them to achieve success. The result is this helpful overview of how many executives actually get things done.

Winston describes different ways that executives have for keeping their ToDo lists. She provides a series of detailed examples, and says that she has observed three distinct executive ToDo list styles:

• The high-powered, detailed list, organized on a daily or weekly basis,
• The “rolling” master list, updated and revised daily, and
• The minimalist list, with just a few items.
